I tried spam musubi for the first time this past Saturday. My co-worker from hawaii brought it to our pot luck. Not many were willing to try it, but I saw seaweed and dove in. (I’m a big fan of sushi). I made a pig of my self since there was so much left over. Ate three. Searching the net for recipes and found this blog. Can’t wait to make my own musubi.

Hi MJ! According to my “insider sources” they should be pulling up to the Shell station at Pike & Broadway around 5:00 today. Good luck! It sounds like Iris is quite the connoisseur so I’ll be curious to hear what she thinks.

Spam doesn’t count as meat, right? Ha – a bunch of wusses is correct. Actually, they just opened on Wednesday in Fremont, and they didn’t offer the musubi that day because they weren’t sure the Fremonters would go for it. They saved it for the Capitol Hill crowd because we are so much more “edgy!”

Funny that someone who doesn’t “really” eat meat was the first. I mean, they’d been open at least one day before, right? Bunch of wusses out there.
